Who am I and what do I do?

I'm Emma, a mummy of two boys, a Holistic Sleep Coach, and a Childcare professional of 18 years.

My journey towards training to become a Holistic Sleep Coach began when I had many struggles with my own sons sleep. We experienced a whole range of issues, such as hourly waking, bedtime battles, plus false starts every night, and it was EXHAUSTING. I was barely hanging on, with the lack of sleep affecting my happiness, ability to parent, and my relationships with others. For months I struggled, believing that he was broken and I had to 'just cope with it'. But I didn’t have to, and this was thanks to the Holistic Approach to sleep.

So, what does 'Holistic' actually mean?

Holistic means that we look at the person as a whole, not the individual 'symptoms' or 'issues' being faced. The approach takes everything into account including temperament, personality, family dynamic, physical issues, medical, as well as many other factors. The key is to find the root cause and treat this, not just the symptom.

Being responsive, family centred, and focusing on attachment was exactly the approach I needed, like many of you out there seeking the same. Infant sleep is not a linear process, and it is important that as parents we have realistic expectations of what sleep looks like for our little ones. If you are looking for a family centred approach, plenty of reassurance, and strategies that are tailored to your family’s needs-you’re in the right place.

I am so grateful to be able to combine my knowledge and understanding of biological sleep, with my own experience of baby sleep struggles, to support families in optimising their sleep in a gentle, holistic, and responsive way.

My sleep support packages are designed to meet the needs of you and your family. I will analyse your sleep situation in a holistic way, and we will work together to find the best solutions for you. This means, I take into account all factors affecting sleep and dig deep into the potential causes of sleep disruption.

One size does not fit all, every child is different, and every family dynamic is different. Your child isn't 'broken' and you are doing nothing wrong. Let’s work together to optimise sleep for the whole family, and have you feeling happier and better rested.

All strategies and solutions are responsive to your little ones needs and are tailored to your needs as parents-I will listen, I will understand, I will reassure, and I will do everything I can to help you reach your goals.

Happy Sleepy Family is:

Responsive. Gentle. Non-Judgemental. Holistic. Attachment based. Respectful.

There is NO cry it out here.

When I started the group / connecting with Emma my son was taking great naps but waking quite a bit at night. Now he is taking a great nap (1) and sleeping much better at night. I found Emma’s advice and response time really helpful. More than anything it was helpful to talk through what was going on with my little guy and get a sense from Emma what was normal/expected for his age and development.

Emma is a warm, kind and engaging person. Her help has been invaluable in helping work out what my little boy needed in order to sleep better. I wouldn’t have known where to turn or how to fight for him with his allergies without having her in my corner. To say she’s been life changing would be on the money. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

As others have mentioned, I was unsure about seeking help for my daughters sleep issues.. I am so glad I did and Emma was the perfect person for us. The advice that Emma gave me has improved her day and night sleeping just by tweaking timings.

Emma was fantastic, fully listened and understood the sensitive nature of our little girl and how gently we wanted to proceed. She have loads of advice and answered all our questions quickly and helpfully. With just adjusting nap times and working with sleep pressures we went from 6 wakes a night to 2/3. Husband is also now able to settle her to sleep which is a big step forward for us.

Emma's holistic approach meant that we asked for help with one thing and multiple issues have been resolved. Really happy with the service.
